Narrowing the Maternal Health Inequity Gap through Training

The goal of the training program is to address maternal health inequities. This is for all different types of professionals. We use a quality-of-care framework. There are 3 ways this is done. First, strengthen communication and respectful care. Second, train pregnancy and birth workers. Third, a rural maternal health residency program. This is meant to expand maternal healthcare across Georgia. We want to make maternal health provider performance better in underserved communities to help lower the maternal mortality and morbidity disparity gaps.
